I've just updated Debian to Squeeze and I'm configuring Cherokee
1.0.8 (I know it's old, but I prefer to stick with the Debian version as
it fulfills my needs). I've a very slow machine (I like classics: a
Pentium 120 MHz) and it seems unable to run the cherokee-admin python
application fast enough for Cherokee. I see a server.py running using
100% CPU time for several seconds even after Cherokee returns the 504
Gateway Timeout error. It however works for the general, status and
advanced pages of the web interface; which, I suppose, are the simpler
pages.
Is there any way to increase the time cherokee waits for the
cherokee-admin scripts to return? Google didn't give any useful result
on this.
