I have a configuration that works on 1.0.4 but has a weird effect on 1.0.20. I have updated to the latest stable via the Ubuntu cherokee ppa and aptitude.
Testing my config file shows okay. When I try to start it via "sudo /etc/init.d/cherokee start" it doesn't. But if I do "sudo cherokee -d" it starts and I can log off my remote server and all works well. "sudo /etc/init.d/stop" still works and "restart seems to work, but a "status" check shows cherokee not running. How can I best debug this situation? Is there any manual or automated way to change the format of an existing conf file when upgrading? It looks like a new conf file generated from scratch has some new stuff but when I use cherokee-admin on my existing file nothing changes. Thanks.
