Hi all,
As you might have noticed the bugfixing sprey had some 'minor' interruption. A short focus on finishing my Master Thesis was the cause. Result: study passed. But I would like to inform you an on the progres that has been made an is now available at our masterbranch on Github. You have been made aware that the bloody SSL issues have been solved, we got some help of some real specialist Adam Langley. Meaning: your Chrome does false start, and your Firefox is fast again. But a great deal of other stuff have been addressed by people from inside our community. Translation of the admin to Chinese is started for example. A lot of documentation has been rewritten to be up to date with the latest git versions (meaning: less to type). Also the documentation is now better readable inside the Github interface. While minor things such as typo's in the admin are easy to fix, other things in the admin cause headages. Friend to our project Pigmej fixed the CTK library so most, if not all, URL problems introduced with cross site scripting protection are now resolved. Other stuff worth mentioning: - (SSL) timeouts are not respected, now they are (Sylvain Munaut) - The proxy handler reused connections too early (Sylvain Munaut) - FastCGI issues with empty posts are resolved (Sciyoshi) - a php script can now override a custom error redirection - a cornercase introduced with HTST might give a broken configuration As you can read from the list above, it is really worth it to setup a stable Cherokee from Github. Hopefully our work can result in a new formal release soon. In the mean time, reporting bugs, making QA tests, writing documentation is as important as trying to fix a bug :-) All is very appreciated!
