have you ever seen anyone who has gone through the front windshield? not a
pretty sight. i try to wear my seat belt all the time . 35 years ago one of
my best friends who was not wearing a seat belt was killed when he flew out
of the car in a minor traffic accident. the same year my brother who was not
wearing a seat belt spent 6 months in the hospital but did live. he wrapped
the car around a telephone pole. the front seat was sticking out the
passengers side by 3 feet. if he had been wearing a belt it probably would
have cut him in two.
wearing a seat belt may not be the whole answer but until they  figure out a
way to prevent some moron from running redlights,doing 3 lane changes on the
freeway and other things. we can control how we drive but can you control
anyone else out there?
