Slipping back into reality, my understanding is there is one block
that can support serious overbore.
The recent "Motorsports" big block available from GM is specifically
designed for this type torture. The most obvious way to identify one
of these blocks is to look at the oil port on the top rear of the
block. Standard blocks are cast and machined to take a 1/8" NPT oil
pressure sensor. If you find a block with an altered casting that has
a 1/2" NPT port -- you have something special.
