Hey everyone,
I’ve been on this list for over a year now but for the past coupla months my
mailbox has been really backed up with 500+ messages, it doesn’t make much
sense to respond to a thread that died a month ago. Anyways, I’m doing up the
interior on my ’72 and have a couple of questions for you guys.
1. I am doing a bench to buckets swap and would eventually like to put in a
console or at least a B&M or Hurst floor shifter (the car is an automatic).
Is there any welding or floor pan modification I should do now while I am
painting it and it’s easy to get at? The console is a little bit out of my
budget at this point but if anyone has an old one to sell let me know.
2. Anyone find replacement moldings for door panels? The set I’m recovering
is good except for that silver tape and I was considering painting in silver
lines like pinstripes.
3. For those of you who painted/dyed hard plastic and vinyl pieces is there
any amount of time you should wait before applying a protectant (like armor
all) ? I don’t want the new color to fade.
