[Chevelle-List] Original Springs

Hey List,       Can anyone please tell me how long the original rear springs for a 69 chevelle SS396?  And if this is not to much to ask, what was their tension (lb.) rating?  I am looking into raising the rear end of my Chevelle 2 inches rather than lowering the front 2 inches.  It just costs too much (with the dropped spindles, the brake kit, alignment, and new ball joints) to do the front right now.  Also if you have any suggestions as to companies that I can get the shocks and springs from.....   Thanks, Lojac
