The generic Griffin Chevy aluminum radiator I have (26"x19") is 3.25" thick
at its deepest point (sides). Dunno about the 'original replacement' AL
radiators that Griffin or Be Cool sells. Most AL radiators that I have seen
have a couple of rows of 1" tubing in them so I would say 2" is a minimum.
