Hi Darrell,
I've heard the same, but I can't confirm, sorry. I just got a pair of
bezels and balls off ebay. Ones that are in good shape (no cracks) are
indeed rare. On the pair I won, one has no cracks and the other has a hair
line one. So now I have four bezels, two with no cracks and two that need
repair ( I have a pair from another A/C dash). Not sure yet what I will use
to try to repair the originals, maybe I'll reinforce with some fiberglass on
the back side and use body filler and paint. Good luck with your search.
