[Chevelle-List] Advice on SS dash restoration

I'm trying to restore a 70-72 SS instrument cluster and dash.  Does anyone have any good advice on doing so?  One specific problem I have right now....  There is a lot of dust behind the plastic lens.  Does anyone know the proper way to remove the plastic lens to clean it and clean the guages behind it?  It looks like the plastic studs on the instrument cluster housing were melted at the factory to form a mushroom head which holds the lens on.  Is there a good way to remove it and reinstall it?   Thanks for your advice, Galen
