Because of this I just decided to keep mine uncovered. It's easier to polish the aluminum then deal with yellowing coating.......Dang!

every attemp at clear coat'n manifolds&valve covers i have wittnessed ends up "yellowing" after time.......... maybe somebody has come up with something "new"....BE CAREFULL & goodluck,let us all know if ya find some thing that works

I have heard about some people polishing up their aluminum valve covers and then clear coating them to keep them nice looking and bright. Have any of you done this? If so, what type of clear coat did you use and what did you use to prep the polished aluminum for the clear coat?  I assume you would have to use a heat approved clear coat?
