Someone in ACES has an awesome Black 70 SS Elky with LS6,six speed, and
billet 17" wheels. That car gives me a woodie.
If I can't buy my 68 back,I've been thinking about finding a nicely painted
69 SS Elky and building it similar to my old 68. However, this time I'm not
going to run 20" wheels on the back again but will mini-tub the back half so
I can run some 18x13's with 345/35/18 rubber. Baer has really slashed their
pricing on their Alcon stuff;i.e. front 14" rotors with six piston Alcon
calipers for less than $3500(normally over $6K). My ZR-1 is just too complex
for me,anymore, and El Caminos have always been my favorite car. As you
know,I sold my 40 Ford streetrod,57 Chev Nomad,and 68 Elky so I could afford
to keep the ZR-1 when the wife got sick. Really wish I would've kept the
Nomad & Elky, instead. Oh well, you live and learn.
Thanks for letting me rant.
