I changed some blue sun visors to black for my '66 convertible 3 or 4 years ago. Now I suppose black will cover about anything with better results than some other colors, but I found this pretty easy. They still look great.   I used a spray can of vinyl dye that I got at the local shoe repair shop. I am happy with the results, and wish that everything I have tried on the car went this good! I have not tried this on anything else other than the visors, but probably will. We're honing the cylinders on the 396 block for the hardtop now, and the engine is getting close to going back together. The interior is totally gutted, so we will be starting from scratch. I think maybe I'll be turning some other things black in the near future!   By the way, Merry Christmas to all. By the way, I am slowly but steadily making progress on the 69 Malibu.  i cut the 1/4's off yesterday and sometime this week I will finish strippin down the doors/truck lid/hood.  I have to replace the rear outer whell houses too.  Hopefully I can get it ready to go to the body shop by the end of January.  I'll keep posting my progress.
