delivered the trans to the welder, he said that the two ears were no problem (I
really hope that), he was more concerned about the crack in the bellhousing, it
will cost me about $ 40-60 in total.

- one additional point - make sure who ever welds it, bolts the trans,
along with the broken ear, to a stock bellhousing to locate that 4th Bolt hole
correctly -

Its doable, welding aluminum is very tricky, i have an M-21 tranny that has one ear broken off that i have to have welded. Get a professional welder to do it.
