Richard, Sorry! Yes I received the cam and lifters. Unfortunately like you stated, the lifters could not be identified. I am going to take the cam and lifters to Crane to see if they think that the cam and lifters are new enough to put in a motor. The cam will be Ok, it is a question as to the lifters. I am going to have the cam re-parko by a friend that works for a cam company called D&S Camshafts. The worst case would be that I have to buy new lifters. I am waiting for a full gasket set that Rob (From the Chevelle-List) has sent me. The gaskets should be here Thursday or Friday. I have a friend that has a motor he ordered new and the motor is only about 4 years old. The motor was store near a sandblasting room. I am going to break down the motor excluding removing the crank and pistons. I am going to make sure the inside of the motor is clean and that there is not any sand in it. I am going to use the gasket set that Rob is sending to put it back together. This motor was covered, but the distributor was out and the carburetor was removed. I just want to make sure the motor does not have any sand inside it. As far as my motor goes that is in the car, I am going to sit on it for now. Reher-Morrison feels that the heads are not the problem is the motor. I feel that my motor will have to be torn down completely because of the problems and the fact that two cams have failed and the motor is full of trash and metal. The faster and cheapest way to get back on the road is to use this motor from my friend. His motor is a stock factory motor from a dealer out of Texas. I am sorry for not letting you know that I had recieved the cam and lifters. I have been really trying hard to find work. I have also been doing several computer jobs to make some money. I have three computers that I am working on right now. Thanks again for your help and sending me the cam and lifters. I will install your cam in my motor when I get a little more money to tear it all the way down.
