well i met Doug fugere today at our first annual Oregon chevelle and el camino show. what a super nice guy. we walked around and i looked at his nice 69 SS 396 El Camino. i took some pictures of his car  and will include it with the pictures i took at the show. anyway we had 138 cars register and i say about 150- 160  showed up. we started this club exactly one year ago and have about 95 members already. The show was a complete success and we had several other clubs tell us what a wonderful show we had put on. Saturday night we had a poker run for the out of town clubs.all went well except for.... no one told my partner and i (we had the mid point check point and ran cars from two different directions) that they were the last car and the cell phone the director had must be the tin can and string type. so we ended up getting back about an hour after the run was over.
there was even an LS6 convert at the show. as most of you know  my love for CHEVELLES is the 65's. so most of the pictures i will be posting later are 65 cars but i do have others. there were tons of nice cars. i even saw a real nice 69 2 door post car.
i would say for our first show we did exceptionally well and i do believe we actually made some money. the talk is to have at least 175 cars next year. i do believe we can do it with no problem. i really can't tell you of any real problems occurring.
i only wish i could have pulled my car out of the garage and taken it.
