Well, according to GM's publications, in 1967 all Chevelles had the same wheelbase of 115".  The convertible and Elky had boxed frames, the convertible had 14 mounting points, station wagons had 12, and all others had 10.  This is according to a September, 1966 publication of 1967 Chevelle chassis specs.

You may be thinking of 68-72 years.  In 1969/70, which I have GM specs for, show the 2-door sport coupes and convertibles had 112" and 4-door cars, wagons, and Elkys had 116".

Subject: RE: [Chevelle-List] 67 Chevelle vs. El Camino frame

The Chevelle has a 112 inch wheel base and the El Camino has a 116 inch wheel base. Hence, the EC frame is 4 inches longer.

Are the frames for the '67 chevelle and El Camino the same?  Will they interchange without any modification??

Thanks

Donnie
