They can be dyed, but it is a special kind of paint, and you will need a spray gun, and a little painting experience would be helpful. (they may sell it in spray cans, but i have always used a spray gun) they need to be cleaned very well and taken apart (remove backrest) so you can get into all the nooks & crannys, I have done it before on cloth and vinyl, it seems to hold up pretty well, (the cloth i did had to be brushed to make it soft again) although I would think that in time it may wear off. But it never did wear off for me. I have done it on headliners, seats, dashes and hard plastic parts-but it is a special paint/dye, your local auto parts/paint store should have it. The brand i use is SEM, it comes pre-mixed (no thinning) and i would think 1/2 pint should do it, depending on the orig color and the new color. H
