Welllllll actually a hemi isn't MOPAR exclusive. I seen an aftermarket
company making Hemi heads for Chevy engines! I actually seen one of these
installed and running in a NSRA rod in Louisville last summer. Needless to say I
did a double take and said ..what the .....???????? I went home and
researched and found the company that's making these heads.

I can put a "Hemi" in my Chevelle? Hmmmmm now you have me thinking

are you getting this 528...as in what did it start life out as? a

friend of mine is into NSRA rods and is using old Hemi engines out of Desoto's
just to be different. He has my respect...and my best wishes nothing
breaks far from home.

The 454 in the Chevelle has over 500 horsepower at the moment, it is a solid 12 second car. I built the motor in the Chevelle myself.
I was kinda trying to put a little wiseguy humor into this thread :-). However I do plan on building the Charger to be an easy 11 second car, besides, the Hemi I was talking about isn't a little dinky 5.7 like the trucks are getting ;-). Can we say 528 CID!!!
