Hey Doug,

     Just one persons opinion but I wouldn't hang my hat on a carfax report. I'm a car dealer and I have had the front end of my pick-up knocked off twice, 13,000 dollars worth of damage the first time and about 6,000 the second time and carfax says that it's in great shape. LOL Had a car in the shop here last week that it took my detail guy about 4 days to get all the mud out that was caked under the dash where the car had been flooded, ran a carfax............you guessed it........good to go. LOL
