Chuck, Sounds a bit unique. I've never seen any "major" player with Chevelle script but I do remember some custom/rod shop at a swap meet that would raise cast or engrave anything you wanted on a set of (essentially) blank/smooth aluminum covers for any car.
Are they good looking or kind of cheap looking? Like to see a picture of 'em. If they do look good, maybe powercoat and polish 'em for something really unique!
