My '66 Chevelle SS originally had a factory trunk light. I purchased a trunk light on Ebay coming off a 67 four door - I would imagine the trunk lids are the same design. However, my Ebay light does not look or physically fit the way the trunk light shows in the 1966 Chevelle / El Camino Factory Assembly Manual.
Can anybody with a '66 Chevelle with a factory trunk light, describe their trunk light and it's installation. My Ebay one looks like it clipped on the edge of a hole with a screw going through the outer clip and into sub framing of the trunk lid. Where as the drawing in the manual shows the light assembly full mounted on the inside the square hole left of the trunk latch with one screw going through the sub frame of the trunk lid into the light bracket. On know things changed from drawings to actual, but looking for some clarifications.
