Agree with Tom. It should be stamped into the housing
tube itself (not raised letters or cast) and they're not stamped very hard from
those that I've seen and can be difficult to locate and
read.

-----Original Message-----the code is on the axle tube. It is not on the bottom, it is on what would be considered the front of the right axle tube and is about 5 inches or so from the center section. It will be written the length of the tube, not around the circumference. Hope this helps.
