If you can get a thermostat to control it, even better.  I have a Flex-a-Lite Black Magic fan kit with the thermostat so I can make it come on at any (reasonable) temperature I want.  If Andre's fans will work for you (since you may have better access to them), you should still be able to use an outside thermostat and relay (as Mikey said) to control it.  Some people like to have a switch they control in the car so they can turn the fan on early (like if they know they will be sitting for a while).

Subject: [Chevelle-List] Q: Electric fan!

I'm planning to replace the original fan (w clutch) with an electric ditto.
Any recommendations, any do's or don'ts?

Best regards Pelle
