For example Cooper makes some of the tries retailed under Perrelli, Pro Comp, etc. Kelly springfield is owned by Goodyear, but both have their own R&D devisions and in fact Kelly was bought back when Goodyear was having massive problems with their truck tires (still do). BFG is owned by Michlian if I remember correctly. So in the end you truelly really don't ultimately know who exactly is making your tire without looking at the fine print.

Look on the sidewall to see where the tire was made if USA manufacturing is important to you. There are a lot of tires made in Central & South America now. Goodyear drag slicks are now made in Brazil.
