I pulled the valve cover tonite and noticed the exhaust valve on #3 seemed a little sloppy, so I cranked her down- But here's my main question.. I noticed that some of the other rockers seemed tight, but if I held them at the tip (bottom)where they are over the valve spring, they would still wiggle a bit to the left and right over the spring.. Shouldn't they be tight enough that they can't shift from left to right at that point?
Hydraulic cam?? If so, you will be able to wiggle them with the motor off. When it's running, then the lifters fill with oil & take out the slack.
