I can
attest to that. The closer one lives to the ocean the more likely that there
will be rust. Its not so much the salt in the air. Rather fog rolls in the
morning and if the car sits outside, it will be coated with a fine mist. Repeat
this for 30 something years, and well, you get the picture.

Not all California cars are rust free. My whole trunk area had to be replaced in my 65. The rest of the car looks good though. The car sat for 15 years so I will assume someone crammed it full of junk and shut the trunk.
