Tom, Herb and I have both mounted 3 pt seat belts in our Elkys. If you take
the covering off the rear post you will see a narrow opening. I used it to
get a small 1/4" plate in behind the post for reinforcement. I drilled the
plate and taped it for a 7/16" fine thread grade eight bolt, applied body
panel glue to the face of the plate, slid it carefully down into the post
and bolted it in. Once the glue sets you can remove the bolt and install the
belt hook. Herbs method was slightly different than mine and I believe he
sent me some pictures that he might could share.
