Ya, I just dont want to attach a car to my house. I contacted my bank today, they're looking into an unsecured personal line of credit for me for around 15K...
they said it has lower interest than a personal loan...
I don't understand banks, I'm sure they're out to ream me somehow though.
I'll let you guys know what turns up!
In the meanwhile, I have a 64 SS drop top for sale if anyone is interested, my dream done went and turned into a nightmare :(

Hi Dan,

If you own your home, you can always get a home equity loan which will give you lower rates along with tax deductible interest.  Plus, you can use the money for whatever you want!

Anyone ever financed a classic car?
I found a beautiful 63 Impala SS in Canada, but I don't have the cash just sitting around.
I'm almost sure I cant walk into my bank and get an auto loan for this.
Any ideas?
Thanks
