Thanks for your reply. In any event, how did you determine end play? Did you just put it together and see that the button was too long, and then revert to Comp Cams Tech, and then to the shorter button? How then did you verify the correctness of that button?
If you have installed the plug in the block that goes behind the cam, take it out. Set up a dial indicator on the back of the block, install the cam & chain, use a screwdriver to GENTLY move the cam forward and back by prying on a cam lobe through a lifter hole & get your reading. Bo Laws makes a cover with a hole in the front that you can put the indicator stem through. You could possibly do the same thing by drilling and tapping a hole in your cover. Do your measuring, then screw in a small allen head grub screw with sealer on it.
