Hey Steve,
You can certainly make this swap. I can get you an adapter plate and custom pilot bearing that will allow you to bolt the 6sp right in place of a Muncie 4sp. You can even use a stock bellhousing, flywheel, pressure plate, throwout bearing, fork, linkages, etc. You would need a 26 spline clutch disc. Other things to consider include; either an electronic speedometer,
or a pricey electronic-to-mechanical conversion box.
And your shifter location will be significantly farther rearward that what you have now, so bucket seats are a must, and use of your console becomes questionable. All 3 items above would run you about $765, so it's not a cheap swap by any means, but can be done. Be leary of the '93 and early '94 T56s, they had a problem that was corrected in mid-'94. The '98/'99 T56s have the farthest rearward shifter location. Here's some shifter location details: http://www.5speedTransmissions.com/6_speed.html Andre's right about watching your gearing. You don't want to get
too tall of gears. Here's a calculator to play with:
As a side note, the Viper T56s are no longer available in the aftermarket. Once all the vendors sell out, you'll have to go to Chrysler to get one, and they are $3600-$4000. Apparently Chrysler used the big stick on all of us....
