Glad to have you back aboard,Ron. Sounds like a nice new house you have there. I'm envious.
I know what you mean about swap meets. New parts are about all I'll buy, anymore.

Been a long time since I last posted on the list (maybe last September?). Picked up the family and moved from Denver to Boise. Anyways the bug is back and it's time to start wrenching on the '66 again. Plus the new house has a FOUR car garage :-)

My big purchase last year was a set of 17" Budnik Fontanas (17x8 (4.5” BS) front and 17x9.5 (5.5” BS) back. Tires are Nitto NT555 – P245/45ZR17 front and P275/40ZR17 back) and a Baer disk setup for the front (got the brakes from Clint here on the list - still have yet to install)...well this year the big one is going to be a Tremec 5 speed from Keisler. I broke the Muncie at the end of last summer. I ordered it from Keisler about a week ago - bad thing is they told me it would be about 6-8 weeks, then another week for the drive shaft once I send them back the measurements.

I'm starting to feel like the car is coming to a crossroad. I know pretty much how I want it to be when its' done, but the money! Since I put the Budniks on, the front end really sits up. It always sat up some, but now it REALLY does, and it's a big block car! So I figure I've got the next month or so to mess with it, maybe it's time to work on the front end, put some new springs, shocks and the Baers on. I also want to replace the rear, add Baers back there and work do the suspension work back there also. Money, money, money!

It's pretty much to the point where pretty much everything I need (want) is big bucks and only can be found new. I hardly see anything at swap meets any more that I have any interest in. Chevelle parts of any year were pretty sparse at the last meet I went to last weekend at Firebird Raceway here in Boise.

ok enough of my ramblings...good to be back!
