would love to have a picture of it!
Also, the guy who put on the list about the old car brochures web site. I contacted them at the site, and told them I had an original dealers sales brochure of all the models from Chevy for that year 64. I will be sending it to them when asked to for all to see.
I really enjoy this list!! some real cool guys with alot of knowledge and some funny grins come along also!!!

The Z16 Chevelle is the grand daddy of the great SS396 Chevelle. It was built at a time when the GTO was selling beyond anyone's expectations of the purchasing power of the young (or young feeling) American car buyer looking for high performance in a sporty package. Buying on credit was also had something to do with it and Musclecars, or as they were called in the 1960s, Supercars were hot selling items and by the late 60's all the manufactures jumped on the band wagon.

The Z16 is a 65 with a 396/375 engine. The option cost $1501.05 and there were only 201 made. Also, you couldn't buy one for near that price. Mike.
