My suggestion is to find some wheels with more backspacing. You really need around 4.5" to run a 265 or 275 tire without worrying about clearance problems.

I just got a set of 15x8.5 rims for the rear of my 71 chevelle. They have a 3.5" backspacing.

I want to put some meaty tires in the rear. What size tires would fit nice with out rubbing.

I'm guessing a 265/60/15 or something around that size.

SUGGESTIONS PLEASE  ;)

Thanks,
Kyle
