I've found a very good way to remove paint from small iron/steel parts and I
want to know if it might hurt the parts?
I just soak them in a strong Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) solution for a
few hours and then rinse them carefully & then dry them with a "heat gun".
Does this hurt the parts?
It seemes as if some sort of protective layer is created during the process?
