Basically all you need is a small jornal 327 block, a 283 crank , 302 spec pistons (or the correct hieght if you go longer rods) and double hump fuelie 2.02 heads w/accesory bolt holes. A reproduction ''stock'' cam is on the market I am sure, but I would lean toward a modern solid lifter cam that would be worth way more power.

Although pricey, the cross ram manifold makes those engines stand out. Even though Holleys may be original, I would consider a pair of 500 cfm AFB's.

I guess it depends on if you want a clone original or to build one that makes big power (but then you might as well build a long rod 383 and use the cross ram on it!) .

I'm wanting to build a 302 Z 28 engine, for a 69 camero.

Where do i or can I get a spec. sheet for building one of these engines. would this be a good engine for a 64 chevelle? just a little bit of  nostalgia working here!!!!!!
