I own both a 66 Malibu and a 66 SS, no 300 or 300 Deluxe.  When I got them both were original unmolested cars.  The body stamps in the corner of the trunk on my SS have the 13817, while the body stamps on my Malibu is 13617.  I have always been of the opinion that this is one of the less known indicators to tell if a 66/67 car is a true SS or a clone.  Obviously body panels can be replaced on vehicles or people can intentionally deceive by altering VINs and body stampings.  But of the true 66 SS cars that I have seen all have the 13817 body stamp.  Just my .02.
