I have a .030 over 350 in my 66. I updated the cooling system to accommodate the heating up problem. I used 9.5:1 pistons then used a set of completely reworked 64cc heads that were shaved to bring the compression ratio to 10.75:1 . I would suggest getting a good radiator preferable aluminum. I'm sure other people have other opinions. But this combination worked well for me. I also have an electric fan installed with an override switch for driving in traffic. The switch bypasses the temp switch leaving the fan run continuously.

I have a chance to pick up a fresh short block for cheap, but I wonder if it will be prone to overheating. I've never built or ran one .060 over. It would be a mild build for semi-daily use. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
