If it's the label that shows date of service - keep it with your reciept in the event you have a warranty issue in the future.  Will be heading to Costco myself soon for a battery for the Chevelle - can't beat the price there.

Today I bought a new $40 battery at Costco with a 2" by 4" plastic label on top.  It really looks tacky.  Has anyone successfully removed one of these labels?
 
I hate to try it and then find out it can't be removed without leaving a mess behind.
