Ok... all of this makes sense. Does anyone
know what the difference is for the 68 w/AC and the heavy duty radiator?
Do you think the regular 68 small block shroud would work? Thanks for the
help so far!

FYI There is not a
reproduction nor is it available from GM for 68 w/AC or heavy duty
radiator option

Just FYI, the 68 fan
shroud is a year specific item. It has 3 bolt holes to hold it to the
radiator top plate instead of 2 like the 69-72's. As long as you have
the same top plate, get the shroud for the engine in the car, not what
radiator is in it. Big blocks are 2 inches longer than a small block
which brings the fan closer to the radiator. If you put a big block
shroud on a small block car, the fan will not sit in the shroud where
it needs to be making it ineffective.
