I have had several circle track 71-72 Chevelle stock cars in the mid 80's.  That was the best and easiest car "stock type" in my class to make handle on the 1/5-1/3 mile asphalt oval.  Before the track rules changed to GM engines in GM cars which opened it up to the rest of the 112" WB cars to be used.  73-77 were just to heavy and the 78-on up were to new and expensive in my days of racing.  Those were the days and some of the most fun that I have ever had.
