The holes are only 1/4" I believe for a bolt that held the original bracket.

Thanks. I'll look at that the next time it's not raining. Since there  
was no HEI in 1969, the guy looked up wires for a 1976 Corvette w/ a  
350 & HEI. I wouldn't call that an "early" Vette but maybe that's why  
they are so long.

My block is from 1958 so it may not have them. Am I supposed to look  
for holes big enough for a wire to pass through? Are you sure they are  
holes? Somehow I doubt that.
