Thanks for reminding me about the heater. I tried my luck with the stuff and this morning the motor was running on all eight. The motor have done 275.000 miles so if it just manage 6-8 months more I’m happy

Hans,

Years ago, I used a simular product with a 4 cyc engine that had 200,000 miles on it. Did not want to spend the money to do it right for obvious reasons! It worked well but failed when I turned on the heater. My thinking was that, since I had done this during the summer, I had forgotten the open the heater up to make sure I drained all the old fluid. My best guess is that the antifreeze locked away with the heater controls on cold somehow attached the gasket area that had been repaired, if that is the proper term. Anyway, it did but me some time, about 6 months, and then I junked it.

Good luck,

Rich

This might a little bit off-chevelle-topic but still Chevy. My wife managed to over-heat my daily driver, Chevy truck with a 350. I replaced the leaking water pump (and thermostat). Well it keeps the temperature but runs on 7 cylinders. Most lokely it’s a crack in one of the heads.

As the truck is supposed to be retire in April, I don’t want to spend to much money keeping it alive. You know DMV in CA is giving me a grand for the if it fail the next smog test in april. I will make sure it fail J

Somebody recommended me to try the “Head Gasket & Block repair@ from nanotechnology http://www.crcindustries.com/auto/content/prod_detail.aspx?S=Y&PN=401232

Has anybody tries this stuff out? Any experiences, comments, positive of negative are appreciated
