I agree but the reason it shifts badly is that the linkage stretches. At one
time, somebody sold heavy duty linkage for the stock shifter.

I agree with Steve, who agrees with Trooper. ; )
My Muncie shifter was a pain from day one.
Sloppy and had "learned" the trick of engaging two gears at once when
stopped and trying to get 1st gear.
Of course this locks tranny and car doesn't move until you get under there
and put levers back in neutral position.
Fun on a four lane street during cruise nights.
Impresses passengers.
Gives F**d guys an opportunity to make disparaging remarks.
Really liked the Hurst Competition/Plus shifter!
