Pelle,
Check out this website for a list of really great tuning articles for both Holley and Qjet. The Author of the carb tuning papers, Lars Grimsrud is a regular on corvetteforum.com. Most of the articles are relevant to C2 and C3 corvettes, but the ones on tuning, timing, and vacuum are some of the best I've ever seen. He really knows how to troubleshoot and explain the technical stuff.

Hope this helps.

Good idea! (doh! why didn't I think of this?)
I'll disconnect the pumps to see what happens!
I'll buy an assortment of acc pump nozzles too.
I've got a feeling that it's running a bit too lean!?
No black smoke puffs!

Pelle,
The problem could be the acc pump is making it too rich (too big a shot) or too lean (not enough). Does the exhaust shoot a puff of black smoke when you nail the throttle? The easiest way to test this is to disable the pump and see if the hesitation get better or worse. I've only been studying up on QJets, so I don't know how to tell you to do this, but if the car runs better without the pump, then it's too much of a shot, and you should go down a shooter size and test it again.

The primary acc pump's (30cc) been disassembled & checked & everything's ok
