I'll check that a.s.a.p. But I'm working evenings this week so it'll have to wait until the weekend :-/
I've also bought a compression tester and a bunch of books like the Chilton overhaul manual & 1964-1979 mid size manual
which have a few good trouble shooting tips and what I might be able to read from the compression gauge.

As I remember it when I pulled the plug a few weeks ago it was slightly darker (not much) but not wet by any means
which indicates that there's at least some kind of combustion going on in #8 consuming the fuel in there!? Or?

But I'll check it again, just in case!

Thank's again!

Pelle, forgot to mention this:  Pull plug and see if it is showing rich mixture (sutty black).  Overrich on a cylinder can cause the header pipe to run cooler.  Lean runs hotter!
