The frame has the same wheel base,just that the El Camino frame is  longer  
The difference is "BEHIND" the Rear wheels. I do not have the  exact 
measurements in front of me but it like 2 3/4 inches that needs to be  
sectioned out of 
the El Camino frame. Finding a convertible frame is like  looking for a needle 
in a haystack. Your El Camino frame will work with this  "minor" alteration. 
I will look and see if I can find the exact measurements for  the cut. You can 
try to find something online by doing a Google search. If you  have your old 
frame measure it and then measure the El Camino frame. Everyone  that I know 
that has done this has said it was pretty simple.
