When I first put mine in I didn't have the one shim behind the one side and it was noisy and didn't engage right. I had to get a new shim because it was beat up really bad from too many one wheel peals in the rear ends life. I don't care for them. A buddy had one in his Camaro. Chewed the back tires up really bad, and didn't reliably engage, and pretty noisy. He ended up taking it out and replacing it.
