67 and 68 had the release button on the lower side, 69-72 has them in the 
center back of the seat.

  I thought 69 had the back release in the center back, and other years had it 
on the bottom edge? I might be wrong, but that's they way my 69 seats are.They 
aren't the original seats, but I thought in my research that's what I found.

    69-72 are all physically the same as far as the framing of the seats is 
concerned.  Only the cover patterns are different.

      I was asked the other day. How can you tell if there 1970 chevelle bucket 
seats or not ? And I was'nt quite sure how to answer. Can somebody help me out
