It is really just a simple string search, as far as I know. Google probably
has some method of determining relevance when deciding whether or not to
include a page containing the e-mail address in the results, though. This
is just speculation, but for your e-mail address, it only returns 9 results,
though your address definitely appears on more web pages than that on this
list's archives. Google must be determining that the relevance (or, the
uniqueness) of those other "pages" isn't high enough to also be included.

this might sound dumb, but how or what does the google search look for when
you type in someones e-mail address??
i put mine in there and it comes up with a few e-mails from the list, but no
others?
then i put a friends of mine in there and it comes up with nothing??
